After rewarding the victorious Savannah at The Hayloft, Doctor Green and I make our way out of the Farm Belt and take a speed tube back to the outskirts of The Outer City. We stop at the Academy Fighting Fields to watch a bout. We are just in time for the "Daily 4 O Clock 4 Way!"
In the cages are 4 fighting squads, each one consisting of five girls. There is one squad from each of the Academy Houses. House Brunette faces off against House Raven, while in the cage next to them House Ginger and House Blonde duke it out. When these bouts end, the middle cage wall will be pulled out and the remaining girls from each team will then fight to the finish.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This "Team fighting: concept has been in my head for along time but DAMN it's a lot of work to render, and I know it's still not perfect, but this is one of the better attempts I have made.
A quick explanation: The majority of the fighters in my Green Tower City world have attended at least a couple years at a Fighting Academy, The Academy provides options for individual combat training, but a very popular route is to join one of the four "Houses" and fight in a variety of team settings against the other three houses. The Houses are divided by hair color, which serves to increase the hatred between girls with different hair colors. House Blonde and House Brunette have the most brutal rivalry, but really none of the houses like each other.
You will see more of these types of stories soon, and I will also be ironing out the details in how the fights are organized and play out.
